The Sludgelord News: Daily Digest

Your rundown of the top sludge news stories of the day …

PARADISE LOST - Gothic doom lovers your Tragic Idol is back. They’ve been one of the most consistent, successful and innovative metal acts to emerge from the UK in the last quarter century and Halifax-based legends PARADISE LOST are set to return with their 14th full length album this summer on Century Media.

Nick Holmes has been vocalist for the group since their very start back in 1988. He had this to say about it, "we wanted to approach the new album differently this time by embracing the band’s VERY early days. We have written a very dark, yet melodic album, but this time many songs definitely have a death metal edge, which is something we haven’t done for a long long time in Paradise Lost.”

The Plague Within’ will be released June 1, 2015 in Europe and June 2 in North America. Further details will be released in the intervening months.

PARADISE LOST live:
20.02. NO Bergen, Blastfest
18.07. PL Bolkow, Castle Party 2015
15.08. DE Dinkelsbühl, Summer Breeze Open Air
